Ashfield 2001 óta edzősködik, több mint 20 éves szakmai tapasztalattal érkezik a Koronázókhoz. 7 éven keresztül (2005-2006, 2013-2017) a Stanford University csapatánál dolgozott QB edzőként es assistant OC pozíciókban, majd a szintén FBS-ben szereplő houstoni Rice University csapatához került, ahol 2020-ig dolgozott. Egyetemi évei alatt kétszeres Rose Bowl résztvevő (2014 második helyezett, 2016 bajnok), 2x-es Pac 12 konferencia bajnok, majd 2017-ben Alamo Bowl résztvevő is volt csapataival.
Munkája során olyan későbbi NFL sztárok kerültek ki a keze alól mint a 49ers guardja Joshua Garnett, a NO Saints elsõkörös tackle-je Andrus Peat vagy a szintén tackle Cameron Flemming aki 2x Super Bowl győztes lett a New England Patriots csapatával.
Játékosként 2001-ben a rekordbajnok német csapat, a Schwabisch Hall Unicornsban volt irányító és negyeddöntőt játszott csapatával.

Great signing on the coaching staff: Joe Ashfield offensive coordinator coach in the Fehervar Enthroners!
Ashfield has been coaching since 2001 and comes to the Enthroners with over 20 years of professional experience. He spent 7 years (2005-2006, 2013-2017) as QB coach and assistant OC at Stanford University, before moving to Rice University in Houston (FBS), where he worked until 2020. During his college years, he was a 2 times Rose Bowl appearance (2014 runner up, 2016 champion), a 2x Pac-12 Conference Champion, and an Alamo Bowl runner up in 2017 with his teams.
During his career, he worked with NFL stars such as 49ers guard Joshua Garnett, NO Saints first round tackle Andrus Peat and tackle Cameron Flemming who won 2x Super Bowls with the New England Patriots.
As a player, he was QB for the record-breaking German team Schwabisch Hall Unicorns in 2001 and played in the quarter-finals with his team.
